County Red Card Competitions

These competitions commonly known as "Red Card" competitions were named after the red cards that members used to receive when registering to play under the County and Welsh affiliation. You needed a "Red Card" to be able to play in these events. In recent years the physical cards have been phased out due to the time it takes and the work needed to provide every member in Wales with the card.

There is a competition for Singles, Pairs, Triples and Rinks with the top 3 or 4 in the county then going forward to the National Finals to compete against other qualifiers from all over Wales.

Singles

Thanks to all who took part and supported our Red Card Singles competition on 12th January 2025.

With 64 entries, there was a fantastic display of quality bowling on display!

After some tough matches in the final stages, the results were as follows:

Cup winner: Mark Beynon Evans (Llanboidy)

Runner up: John Matthews (Salem)

Third place: Ethan Jones (Salem)

Fourth: Alun Jones (Bronwydd)

Plate winner: Aled Edwards (Pontargothi)

Shield winner: Wyn Bennett (Llandyfaelog)

Pairs

Another grat day of top class bowling at the Pairs Red Card event on 16th February 2025 when 40 pairs fought it out for the county title and the opprtunity to progress to the national finals.
