League Rules
1. A home and away fixture will be played between every team in the league.
2. Home team must confirm the date and time of game.
3. Each match will consist of one single, a pair, a triple and one fours game. Singles players 4 woods, all other’s 2 woods.
4. Each singles, pairs and triples game will be played over 9 ends. Fours over 7 ends.
5. There will be no practice for the away team, only 2 trial ends.
6. 2 points will be awarded for each game won, one point for a draw. No extra ends to be played. 2 additional points will be awarded for the overall shots. If overall shots are equal, the 2 points will be shared.
7. Clubs with more than one team in the league must name 10 players for each team before the start of the season.
8. A minimum of 7 players per team are required in order to play a match. A maximum of 3 players are allowed to double up within a team. These are to be drawn by the opposing captain from the team presented (with all names used in the draw).
9. Teams must fill in a copy of the Team Sheet before disclosure to the other Team.
10. Clubs and all players must be registered with WSMBA and CSMBA.
11. Score sheets to be signed by both Captains after the match. The home team should return the score sheet to the Fixture Secretary as soon as possible (preferably by emailing a photograph of the scoresheet to richardpalmer999@hotmail.co.uk).
12. If it is not possible to complete a fixture by the given date, the match may be rearranged if both teams are in agreement. The fixture should be rearranged as soon as possible so as not to create a backlog of games.
13. If a team needs to rearrange a fixture, at least 48 hours notice is required. Where sufficient notice is not given, the opposition will be awarded the 10 points.
14. If cancelation is due to adverse weather conditions, sudden illness or bereavement the fixture shall be rearranged. (Rule 13 will not apply under these conditions).
15. A maximum of two (2) dead/burnt ends is permissible by 1 team in any one game. In the event of a 3rd dead end, 3 shots will be awarded to the opposing team.
16. The CDSMBA League Secretary must be notified in writing within seven (7) days of any disputes between Teams, Clubs or Members with regard to any particular fixture, copies must be sent to all parties involved. The CDSMBA committee will make a final decision on the action to be taken.
17. A qualified Umpire must officiate at all league games. Their decision will be final in all matters of the game. In the absence of any express rule, true sportsmanship and common sense will find an acceptable solution.
18. League Dress Code will be Bowling Shoes/Bowling Trainers Only (No outdoor footwear), Club or plain white top with Grey or Black Trousers, Skirt or bowls trousers/shorts (No Jeans, leggins or track-suite bottoms).
